This update should make buying an Apple computer a little less confusing with a much more simplified structure on offer to consumers. This price cut comes hot on the heels of Apple's recent MacBook Air price cut.

"The funeral" 12-inch MacBook upset many users, as it was the lightest and most compact laptop, for which he valued buyers.

If you've been meaning to get a new laptop, now would be a better time than most. This configuration has Intel's Core i7-8557U, which reportedly is a custom version of its Core i7-8550U processor, with a TDP of 15W and a max Turbo Boost frequency of up to 4.5GHz. It is now equipped with a Touch Bar and Touch ID, True Tone Retina Display and Apple T2 Security Chip.

Specs aside, the beefier internals now result in a 6.8 percent increase in single-core performance and multi-core performance that more than 83 percent faster than the 2018 model.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro packs powerfulprocessors, super-fast SSDs, all-day battery life and the best Mac notebookdisplay ever.

This iconic device had been part of the Apple lineup for over 10 years but it seems Apple finally decided it was time for it to go. United States college students get a special price starting at $1,200. These new MacBooks continue to feature the butterfly mechanism keyboard, that has been prone to issues. College students and their parents, faculty, staff, and home-school teachers can pick up a qualifying Mac or iPad and receive a pair of Beats headphones as a bonus.

"College students love the Mac - it's the notebook they rely on from the dorm room to the classroom, and the No. 1 choice among higher education students", said Tom Boger, Apple's senior director of Mac Product Marketing.

The company did not refresh the 13-inch MacBook Pro previous year, despite refreshing the 15-inch model, which is why Geekbench used the 2017 model for comparative purposes.
