Andy Ruiz Jr. wants $50 million to rematch Anthony Joshua in UK

Almost 1m Kenyans used pirated channels to watch Joshua v Ruiz fight

Anthony Joshua has announced his intention to trigger his rematch clause with Andy Ruiz Jr immediately following his surprise defeat to the Mexican-American boxer in NY on Saturday night.

For now at least we know exactly what Fury thinks about his rival and it's refreshingly honest and respectful.

Many fighters, including Amir Khan, have spoken out to suggest that Joshua shouldn't take the rematch as the result would not be any different second time around.

"If they [Team Joshua] want me to go over there [the UK] they've got to give me 50 million dollars". What were people seeing?

While the terms for the location may have already been dictated to Ruiz Jr, by the contract he signed before the first fight, he has made it clear what he wants.

But unbeaten Fury, who shed around 10 stone (64 kilograms) in a bid to re-establish himself in the heavyweight division after a battle with mental health and drugs issues, said body shape was no indicator of success.

Tyson Fury has never been one to hold his tongue, especially when it comes to talking about his rivals, and the lineal heavyweight champion has given his honest opinion on Anthony Joshua, and it's all really complimentary.

"He would break every heart monitor, has probably worn out every treadmill in the gym, smashes the bag, it's all very unimportant".

Tyson Fury claims fellow heavyweight and former world champion Anthony Joshua is "finished" in boxing. If you can fight you can fight, if you can't you can forget about it.

That was after the pair battled to a draw in December in Los Angeles.

"The best feeling I got from it was the two best conditioned fighters in the last 20 years have been (Wladimir) Klitschko (who Fury beat in 2015) and Joshua and they both got done by two fat men".

"Does Deontay Wilder have anything to bother me? I've texted him five times and he hasn't replied once".
