British PM rejects calls for exit timetable

UK PM Theresa May is preparing to put her Brexit deal before MPs for the fourth time if her controversial discussions with Labour breakdown, reports the Telegraph.

Five separate dates in mind: UK Prime Minister Theresa May.

British Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn will urge both pro-EU voters and Brexit supporters on Thursday (9 May) to vote for his opposition party at this month's European election, a poll he blamed on the Conservative government's "complete failure" to steer the country out of the bloc.

She is immune from a leadership contest until December after surviving one a year ago.

Labour launched its campaign for the looming European Parliament elections as Jeremy Corbyn called on voters to abandon the labels of Leave and Remain and concentrate on what kind of society they want to live in.

The left-of-center party executive was meeting Tuesday to determine what to put for the parliamentary election that is now happening in just over only 3 weeks.

The leaflet links to a website that names the MPs who voted against Mrs May's deal, according to The Times, including 34 Tory Brexiteers.

Brady, the chairman of the so-called 1922 committee of Tory MPs, said she agreed to address its executive members next week on the question of her future.

Negotiations between the Conservatives and Labour took place earlier in the day, but no joint agreement was reached. "If it were an issue about me and the way I vote, we would already have left the European Union".

"This is not an issue about me and it's not an issue about her".

If their talks fail, May has pledged to allow the House of Commons to decide on a new strategy in a series of votes.

Talks between the Government and Labour on breaking the Brexit deadlock continued with little sign of substantive progress.

The government has finally confirmed that the European elections can not be avoided.

May had been hoping that her deal or an alternative withdrawal agreement could be raced through the British Parliament to enable the voting in Britain to be cancelled.
