Armed border group shuts down camp at border in New Mexico

Mexican militia was training to kill Clinton Obama

President Donald Trump said Wednesday the U.S. is sending armed soldiers to the southern border after Mexican soldiers recently "pulled guns" on USA troops. Mexican soldiers reportedly pointed their weapons at US troops during the encounter.

Trump tweeted that "Mexico's Soldiers recently pulled guns on our National Guard Soldiers, probably as a diversionary tactic for drug smugglers on the Border", but he didn't support the drug-smuggling claim.

He tweeted: "Better not happen again!"

An armed group that has been patrolling the U.S. -Mexico border left its post in the New Mexico desert Tuesday amid pressure from law enforcement following videos that showed militia members stopping migrants who had illegally crossed into the country.

USA officials said: "After a brief discussion between the soldiers from the two nations, the Mexican military members departed the area". The Mexican soldiers who approached the USA forces reportedly drew their weapons and ordered the American troops out of the vehicle.

The confrontation between the two sides took place south of the border fence but north of the actual border itself.

The Mexican soldiers had reportedly believed that they were on the Mexican side of the border when they were in fact on the American side.

Mexico's President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador was "concilatory", reports Bloomberg, and promised, in response to the President Trump's concern, that the incident will be fully investigated. "We are not going to allow ourselves to fall into any provocations".

The anti-establishment leftist said a plan announced last week to restrict migrants to Mexico's south - keeping them away from the USA border - was for their own safety and not a means to placate Washington.

Trump campaigned on a promise to secure the border, and while Democrats previously authorized funding for border security, they have adamantly refused to do so now.

Earlier this month, Trump threatened to shut down the southern border if the Mexican government did not do more to stop drug trafficking.

In San Francisco, three U.S. Court of Appeals judges heard arguments on whether to shut down the government's program of sending immigrants back to Mexico to await their asylum proceedings rather than staying in the United States.

Trump also warned Wednesday of a "very big" caravan and threatened, once again, to close part of the southern border. "I don't think-it definitely wasn't trying to overtake the U.S". "However, the U.S. soldiers were appropriately in United States territory", NORTHCOM said.

"How can you want to comply with this obligation if you don't at least ask this person, 'Hey, by the way, before we send you to Mexico, do you have a fear of returning there?'" Judge Paul Watford asked a Department of Justice attorney.
