US Democrats issue subpoena to see unredacted Mueller report

The investigation report of Special Counsel Robert Mueller is unlikely to end the scandal around Russian interference in the 2016 USA presidential election that has rocked American politics for the last two and a half years.

Recently, a report portrayed that the Justice Department had briefed the White House on some of the Mueller's findings, aiding them to prepare for the report's release, which enraged the Democrats in the country.

"There is a point, though, at which that expectation turns from a mix of loyalty and pragmatism into something more sinister, a blind devotion that serves to enable criminal conduct".

Yet in moments of concern as Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election got underway, Trump turned to his spy chiefs for help.

"Trump's campaign showed a willingness to work with a foreign power - something his personal lawyer now insists is perfectly okay".

'Mueller put the next step in the hands of Congress: "Congress has authority to prohibit a President's corrupt use of his authority in order to protect the integrity of the administration of justice"' she wrote - quoting a line Mueller included in his report.

Taken as a whole, the report's findings on obstruction paint a damning portrait of a President desperate to end an investigation into his campaign.

Jerrold Nadler, Chairman of House Judiciary Committee, criticized Barr for his decision to speak about the report at a press conference.

While Warren and Castro have even announced their support for impeachment proceedings, other key Democrats, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, have cautioned against a singularly focused approach. The same can not be said for Democrats, who control the House. But his report provides invaluable insight into the President's unethical (and apparently criminal) behavior. Nadler pledged to call several important figures to testify about the Mueller probe, including Attorney General William Barr, former White House counsel Don McGahn, and Mueller himself.

Quinn said that he disagrees with tactics allegedly used by President Trump to end the investigation while it was being conducted previous year. Cory Booker of New Jersey and Kamala Harris of California, have suggested it is too soon.

On March 22, 2017, Trump asked then-CIA Director Mike Pompeo and National Intelligence Director Dan Coats to stay behind after a meeting at the White House to ask if the men could "say publicly that no link existed between him and Russian Federation", the report said. "The reason is that the 18 Angry Democrats knew they would all say "NO COLLUSION" and only very good things!" The issue has split the party since the day the new Congress was sworn in. This reluctance is not a reflection of any particular fondness for Donald Trump - Democratic leaders fear the political ramifications of impeachment.

While Mueller ultimately decided not to charge Trump with a crime, he also said that the investigation did not exonerate the president, either. However, Mueller did not reach a conclusion on the ultimate question of whether the President obstructed justice.
