LeBron James unloads on hypocrisy of National Basketball Association trades via Instagram

UNC Alumni in NBA: Harrison Barnes, Justin Jackson part of Kings-Mavs trade

National Basketball Association veteran Harrison Barnes reportedly knew he was on the verge of being traded - but judging by his on-camera reaction, he didn't expect it the deal to go through in the middle of a game.

Barnes, 26, was subbed out and remained on Dallas' bench for a short time before heading back to the locker room after he was informed of the move.

LeBron is furious players are always being brought down by fans for trying to do what's best for them, but it's seemingly just fine for a franchise to treat players like crap.

The trade was consummated during the second half, as Barnes played 8:49 of the third quarter.

New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis, the centerpiece of this year's mid-season trade rumors, liked James' post along with Portland Trailblazers star guard CJ McCollum. I'm OK with both honestly.

Triggering a surreal scene at American Airlines Center, the Mavericks traded forward Harrison Barnes - in the middle of Wednesday night's victory over Charlotte - to Sacramento for Zach Randolph and Justin Jackson.

"Look, this is madness right now", Carlisle said of the mid-game trade. "I got word of it during the game and so that is why he didn't play down the stretch, obviously".

Mavericks veteran Dirk Nowitzki added: "I was playing in the fourth [quarter] still". "I'm going to miss him an terrible lot". I got a call from Harrison's agent Jeff Schwartz. It was like eight minutes to go. He's still there on the bench.' That's when I found out.

After the game, Mavs coach Rick Carlisle thanked Barnes in front of the team for "being the model professional and a great example". "We'll miss him an very bad lot, but I believe he's going to have a great situation where he's going, and we'll just go forward from here".
