Meghan Markle sports $35 H&M dress for royal visit

Meghan Markle, who is due to give birth in April, showed all the graciousness of a royal when she expertly responded to a comment about her growing body. "May the good lord always bless you.And you're a fat lady!"

Meghan Markle has been the subject of a lot of criticism over the past several months, but one woman's comment made on Wednesday may be the most freakish yet.

Meghan The Duchess of Sussex pats Jack Russel dog called "Minnie" during her visit to Mayhew animal welfare charity on Wednesday Jan. 16, 2019, to meet with volunteers to hear about welfare initiatives, community engagement and worldwide projects carried out by the charity.

One doubtful social media user said: "Think you need to go to Specsavers". "And you're a fat lady!"

Mayhew is a grassroots charity working to improve the lives of dogs, cats and humans in England and overseas.

The move's already been applauded online as showing the Duchess' desire to keep a common touch for her time in the Royal family.

The Mayhew is one of the four organisations that the Duchess was recently made patron of.

She now owns two rescue dogs - a beagle named Guy and a Labrador-Shepherd mix named Bogart, who remains in Toronto, Canada with her friends. Browse them all below.

The pet was rescued from a suspected puppy farm in October a year ago and is now with new owner Emma.
