Clinton on Potential 2020 Run: ‘I’d Like to Be President’

Some Buzz After Clinton Says 'Well, I'd Like to Be President'

The talks about whether Hilary Clinton would run for the presidency once more started after she and her husband announced a 13-city speaking tour for her book, "What Happened". I watched this video just a few hours after publicly declaring that Hillary should give up her dream of being president and open a yarn store, and I nearly changed my mind about her presidential prospects after seeing it.

But she and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, announced earlier this month that they are going to embark on a 13-city tour across the U.S. and Canada beginning later this year and continuing until May 2019.

The questionable joke comes as mixed messages are coming out of the Clinton camp about whether the former Secretary of State is interested in running for president again in 2020. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), as The Daily Wire reported.

"That was a pause", Swisher said.

"Tweeps, simmer down!" Swisher wrote on Twitter.

Booker is the only Democratic African American man serving in the Senate, while Holder is a prominent party figure who served as President Obama's attorney general. A handful, like former Howard Dean campaign guru Joe Trippi, told the paper they don't believe Clinton is serious - how could she possibly be serious?

Clinton dismissed some of the calls for her to retreat from public life as sexist.

She added, "I don't want to go around insulting people, painting people with a broad brush", she said.

She added that she has "no idea" if she will be a part of that work, saying that she's "not even going to think about it 'til we get through this November 6 election about what's going to happen after that, but I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure we have a Democrat in the White House come January of 2021".

Clinton has been more vocal in her opposition of President Donald Trump as the midterm elections draw near.

The president commented on the potential 2020 field during an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham. So far, only Biden seems likely to lock up the 20% or so of the vote in early primary states, though the first primary is still more than a year away. We have confused everybody in the world, including ourselves.

"But I feel confident in saying I think Hillary is never going to be on the ballot again".
