At Kavanaugh's former school Yale, students transfixed by hearing

St. Thomas law prof, Kavanaugh classmate calls for probe into accusations

President Donald Trump has ordered the FBI to reopen Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's background investigation after several women accused him of sexual misconduct. Harvard Law spokespeople twice declined to comment and once did not respond to the Crimson's multiple requests for clarity on whether Harvard will allow Kavanaugh to continue serving as a Lecturer on Law. He said he would stick to his promise to support Kavanaugh's nomination in the committee vote, but under one condition: That there be an FBI investigation of Ford's allegations. And it was incredibly disturbing to see somebody perjuring them self who's in line to be a Supreme Court justice...

A prominent Seattle doctor and former Yale classmate of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh alleges he lied under oath to the Senate Judiciary Committee about his drinking habits in college.

Ford alleges Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were both in high school, pinning her down and covered her mouth as he tried to take off her clothes; she alleges Judge was in the room during the alleged assault. In an editorial on Thursday, America magazine, a Jesuit publication, called for Kavanaugh's nomination to be withdrawn.

Trump quietly followed suit, though he had vigorously resisted asking the Federal Bureau of Investigation to probe the allegations of sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh, now being raised by three women.

In one email dated September 24, Avenatti said he had reason to believe a reference to the "FFFFFFFourth of July" which appears on Kavanaugh's yearbook memoriam was an acronym for a series of obscene acts performed with women, while his listed membership in the "Devil's Triangle" pertains to group sex with women.

She wrote, "Had [Kavanaugh] simply told the Judiciary Committee that he partied in high school/college, sometimes to excess - but still denied the assault - these commentaries would be net neutral". She said, "I agree". But, as I have said, this policy serves important purposes even in stressful times.

Kavanaugh has repeatedly and categorically denied the claims laid against him, in particular the one by Christine Blasey Ford, who will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday to testify about the letter she wrote to Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA) earlier in the summer, in which she claimed Kavanaugh attempted to rape her while they were both in high school. They might discover there are more people, including witnesses or others, than have been a part of the public accounting so far. Flake, at a committee hearing Friday afternoon, asked for a week's delay in the Senate's consideration of Kavanaugh so the FBI can investigate.

As to Kavanaugh's testimony, another student said: "He was pretty convincing. I didn't have any credible evidence to the contrary" Swisher told Chris Cuomo. That said, we don't need to be absolutely positive about that particular allegation to not trust his character and dismiss his credibility. "I can't imagine being Dr. Ford and seeing someone who sexually assaulted you screaming before the entire country".

"I learned about these yearbook pages only a few days ago", she said. I don't know if I believe him. "I can't pinpoint anything to say this is what caused me to come today to say let's postpone".

"I join the American Bar Association in calling for an additional investigation into allegations made against Judge Kavanaugh", Gerken said.
