The two-day sentencing hearing will begin with testimony about Cosby's sex offender evaluation and whether he should be deemed a sexually violent predator.
Cosby could spend the rest of his life in prison.
.Bill Cosby has just arrived at the Philly courthouse where he will be sentenced in his sexual assault case. and he was greeted by angry screams. The Herald has reported that Cosby's conviction for these sex crimes is sufficient for MA authorities to require him to register here if he spends four days in one month or 14 days in a year in the Bay State. But Deborah Tuerkheimer, a law professor at Northwestern University and an expert on sexual assault cases, said Cosby's case, as well as the election of U.S. President Donald Trump in 2016, helped "seed the ground" for the coming wave.
The comedian's arrest in 2015 predated #MeToo, but after a deadlocked jury resulted in a mistrial in June 2017, the subsequent 2018 retrial may have been influenced by the social movement.
In the years since Constand first went to police in 2005, more than 60 women have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct, though none of those claims have led to criminal charges. His wife of over 50 years, Camille, was noticeably absent.

The site further reports that Judge O'Neill ruled on Thursday morning that main witness, Andrea Constand, will be joined by the "prior bad act witnesses" Janice Dickinson, Heidi Thomas, Chelan Lasha, Janice Baker-Kinney and Lise-Lotte Lublin who may be allowed to provide their respective victim impact statements.
The judge barred a request by prosecutors to call a parade of accusers to testify at the sentencing hearing.
Some women who initially wanted to speak at the trial will not as it will slow down the process.
Prosecutors said they would "present numerous witnesses who will testify that defendant sexually abused them" and argued those "uncharged crimes" were relevant to establishing Cosby's character and as a danger to the community.
The former "Cosby Show" star was convicted in April following a retrial. At sentencing, the judge will also have to decide whether he can remain free on bail while he pursues an appeal.
