Browns fans go after Bud Light Victory Fridge after win

Baker Mayfield leads Browns to 1st win in 635 days

For Cleveland's National Football League team winning a single game is cause for celebration.

After entering the game in relief of an injured Tyrod Taylor late in the second half Thursday night, rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield led the Cleveland Browns to their first victory in almost two calendar years.

When the clock hit triple zeros, it may have seemed like a dream for Browns fans to see their team win a game for the first time in 635 days. The promotion was that the fridges were stocked with Bud Light and would be unlocked after Browns wins.

Naturally, Cleveland celebrated like it just won a Super Bowl.

Hue Jackson couldn't come out and say it directly after the victory Thursday night.

Mayfield connected with Jarvis Landry for his first ever career completion, then led the Browns down the field for three points.

Attending the Browns game against the New York Jets at First Energy Stadium, Smith indicated that he'd remove his shirt if the Browns completed their comeback from a 14-0 second-quarter deficit.

"He always keeps one joke in the chamber", Mayfield said of Riley on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt.

Mayfield's highlight reel for the game included catching a pass on a two-point conversion.

The hapless franchise nearly ended its losing streak in their season opener, only to end up in a tie with divisional foes, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
