Former Charger Colton Underwood announced as the next ‘Bachelor’

Colton Underwood spent three seasons attempting to find an National Football League team. I think part of me wanted this to work so bad.

Perezcious readers, will you be tuning in for Colton's season and all of ABC's cringeworthy virgin-related puns?

Colton Underwood shared a photo on Instagram showing him with Tia Booth during their hot dog party on Bachelor in Paradise.

There was some support for Colton, but it was mostly coming from one person. But, the official announcement of the new Bachelor wasn't until the morning of September 4, 2018.

Colton didn't need much time, apparently, as he'll soon be dating somewhere around 30 different women when the new season of The Bachelor begins. He also said that he is serious about getting engaged at the end of his Bachelor journey.

"I'm going to live my life and do what I've always done", he told People. Towards the end of his tenure with the Raiders, Underwood made headlines because of his confirmed relationship with gold-medal Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman.

The 26-year-old was then eliminated from the show, clearly heartbroken by not being able to continue things with Becca. He previously appeared on "The Bachelorette" and "Bachelor In Paradise".

After that, he and Tia were one of the most solid couples in Paradise, until Monday's show when he revealed to Canadian Kevin Wendt that he was having second thoughts about their future and realized she wasn't the one for him. The Tia-Colton storyline was very tedious and fans on social media mostly feel negatively toward Colton.

When he came clean to Tia about his feelings, they had a very emotional break up, with both deciding to leave Paradise in the aftermath. Colton was probably cast because he's more ready to get married than other potential Bachelors.
