"Toure @YayaToure has passed a medical in London", he wrote on Twitter.

The Ivory Coast global had been hotly linked with a move to big-spending West Ham who are now managed by his former Citizens boss Manuel Pellegrini, but Toure's agent has revealed on Twitter that his client will not be joining the Hammers, or Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace.

Toure's deal at the Etihad expired earlier this summer as he ended his eight-year affair with the club in style - winning his third Premier League title in record-breaking fashion.

Toure then played 29 times for the Greek side in 2005/06 (scoring thrice) before moving onto Monaco the following season.

Toure is still without a club after leaving Manchester City at the end of last season.

Former Manchester City ace Yaya Toure is nearing a return to Greek giants Olympiakos.

Although Seluk soon ruled the Hammers and the Eagles out of contention for his signature. Pep meant to replace him with Jorginho - we all know how that ended.

Toure's agent Seluk put to bed reports of a move to the likes of West Ham due to the midfielder's successes, and the Ivorian has enjoyed a trophy-laden career to date.

"It's not Crystal Palace, 100%".
