Will Smith 'to carry out World Cup 2018 tune'

World Cup 2018: Will Smith and Diplo are collaborating on the official FIFA song

According to reports in Billboard and other publications, the track is to be released on 25 May, and is being produced by Diplo, the USA producer behind hits with his group Major Lazer including Lean On and Cold Water.

However, no World Cup can be complete without an anthem that will have the spectators singing along the entire summer.

The 2018 World Cup will kick off on 14 June and will run for four weeks across various cities in Russian Federation.

Will Smith will join Nicky Jam and Kosovo singer Era Istrefi on the official song of the 2018 World Cup, which is set to be released on Friday.

"Nicky Jam and Will Smith are producing the brand new copa de futbol, they're doing it collectively", he mentioned.

In other World Cup news, Punk supergroup The Tallywags released their unofficial World Cup anthem "Charge Of The Light Brigade", in a bid to help England on their path to World Cup er, glory.

He has recently focused primarily on his acting career, and the World Cup song signals a return to music more than 10 years after his last solo album, "Lost and Found".

Harry Kane has been confirmed as England's captain for their upcoming World Cup campaign; the Tottenham striker has already captained the Three Lions on four occasions but has now been appointed as the permanent skipper for this summer's tournament in Russian Federation.

Although there are usually multiple songs associated with the FIFA World Cup, the official anthem is usually the most high-profile and is performed at the finale of the World Cup. "They're making this big song and it's just so insane".

Besides the Will Smith song, Jason Derulo and Maluma's "Colors" - the Coca-Cola anthem - is also expected to be affiliated with the tournament, which begins June 14.
