Chilly temps and a mostly cloudy weekend expected

First Warning Forecast Showers and storms move out chilly weather moves

Sunday morning and early afternoon we are looking at more sun than clouds, and temperatures will gradually rise.

According to Accuweather, the area will have mostly cloudy skies with a touch of snow and sleet but little or no accumulation. Overnight, a few rain and snow showers are possible, otherwise, it's mainly cloudy.

The weekend started off with a sharp drop in temperatures as a cold front made its way through the Coastal Bend.

Light snow will develop Sunday night.

Billings on Thursday afternoon was half an inch away from the second-highest seasonal snowfall total ever recorded, and 5.3 inches away from t... Then, it looks like we could see a couple days in a row of drier weather with more spring-like temperatures on the way by the end of next week. "The high Saturday is forecast to be 36 with a low of 22". Tonight a weak system will bring in snow showers to the area.

Friday, April 6, is expected to be mostly sunny with a high of 20 degrees. Western Montana will see rain showers, however we are not expecting the amounts of precipitation as locations in Idaho. Our winds will stay out of the northwest however and this will help to keep high temperatures chilly...generally mid 40s.

On the brighter side, by the time the city holds its rescheduled spring cleanup event a week from Saturday, temperatures might approach actual April levels.

The cold air could also cause problems on the roads Sunday morning should any moisture linger. The wind chill only let us feel like we were in the lower 30's at the warmest part of the day.
