Cynthia Nixon was 'a little devastated' at SATC wardrobe scene

Cynthia Nixon Reveals Which Scene in 'Sex and the City 2' Movie Left Her 'Devastated'

Cynthia Nixon played the role of Miranda on all of the seasons of Sex and the City, as well as in both films, and now, she's revealing which scene left her devastated.

Nixon's interview on The Wendy Williams Show was taped on Tuesday, April 3, and aired on Wednesday.

Seeking to expand on the reasoning behind her decision to take on Cuomo - and establish her New Yorker bona fides - Nixon said: 'I'm running as a NY public school parent. President Trump's astonishing election win also partly inspired her run. "I have been fighting for better and, particularly, more equal funding of NY state's public schools for the last 17 years".

Adding, "If we don't like the direction our government is going in, we have to step up".

Actress Cynthia Nixon, who is challenging incumbent Gov. Andrew Cuomo for the Democratic nomination, has come out in favor of legalizing recreational marijuana. "It is tough", Nixon said. "But if it's just about name recognition, I'm hoping that Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Billy Joel don't get into the race. I have to say, when Andrew Cuomo ran eight years ago, he was a celebrity because he was the son of Mario Cuomo", Nixon stated.

"I'm running as a New Yorker, I'm running as a public school parent. I'm running as a New York City subway rider; that's enough to make anyone want to run nowadays!"

Candidate for NY governor Cynthia Nixon speaks during a news conference on March 26.

Williams also brought up the recent police-involved shooting of Stephon Clark in Sacramento, California, asking Nixon, "Is this a black man thing?" "I'm absolutely for the legalization of marijuana. If we're going to say black lives matter, then we have to mean it".

She also addressed the chatter over a celebrity entering politics.

But, the Sex and the City star said, black women will stop showing up for the Democratic Party 'if the Democratic Party doesn't start showing up for them'. "I think that we're at a real watershed moment now", she added in reference to stricter gun control and March for Our Lives which she attended with her youngest daughter.
