Her supporters have launched the hashtag #IStandWithLaura. Hours later, Hogg had called for an advertising boycott. He was later fired by the network.
David Hogg, a survivor of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre, on Friday rejected an apology from Fox News host Laura Ingraham for her tweet mocking his college acceptance record.
Her tweet linked to a report noting Hogg had been rejected from four California colleges.
Laura Ingraham has lost a number of advertisers since Wednesday - and now she's dropped some viewers, too.
Hogg - who has amassed more than 650,000 Twitter followers himself - responded by tweeting a list of 12 companies that he said were sponsors of Ingraham's show, "The Ingraham Angle".
The brazen insincerity of Ingraham's apology - along with this abject demonstration that she was happy to completely contradict her supposedly tough, honest disagreements with the March for Our Lives organizers, including Hogg - is indicative of what really goes on with Fox News personalities like Ingraham. Literally no one believes that this is about her taunting Hogg now, even if it was in the beginning.
This is not the first time activists have targeted the advertisers of a Fox News show.
On Thursday she issued an apology.
The Ingraham Angle is one of the top-rated news/opinion shows on cable.

Hogg's 14-year-old sister accused the Fox News host of stooping to a "real low" to boost her ratings. Ingraham's apology likely nips that movement in the bud, but it puts other TV pundits on notice, lest future trashings of school shooting survivors be brought to the attention of advertisers.
Companies actually started pulling ads. On Thursday night, Ingraham's show ran a "filler" ad, indicating it could be having trouble selling.
Still, there must be a way for FNC to monetize viewer outrage that Ingraham's being targeted despite her apology.
The weight-loss company told HuffPost on Friday, "We have made a decision to take steps to discontinue advertising on this show".
"We are in the process of removing our ads from Laura Ingraham's program", Nutrish tweeted Thursday morning.
Streaming service Hulu also announced its decision to back out of its support for Ingraham.
While Hogg was glad that some of the companies pulled their advertisements from Ingraham's show, he said this is "just the beginning".
"We're changing the world", he said.
"We do not. condone the inappropriate comments made by this broadcaster", TripAdvisor said in a statement.
