Russian Federation has suffered numerous plane crashes, with airlines often operating ageing aircraft in unsafe flying conditions. The emergency ministry added that it would lift the main plane debris out of the crater formed upon impact.

A child and two teenagers were among the passengers, most of whom were from the Orenburg region where Orsk is located.

"Sixty-five passengers and six crew members were on board". They have seized the crew's health records and the plane's inspection data from Saratov Airlines. The plane departed from Moscow at 2:21 p.m. local time, but after a few minutes, it lost radio contact and disappeared from air traffic control radars. According to preliminary reports, the plane's pilots did not report any technical problems or activate a mayday call.

Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told a Cabinet meeting that emergency teams have found both flight data and cockpit conversation recorders, which are crucial for determining the crash's cause.

President Valdimir Putin offered his condolences to the families of those travelling in the ill fated plane.

Its production in Russian Federation was halted a year ago, and media reports indicated that some carriers, including Saratov Airlines, experienced a shortage of spare parts. The other pilot had 812 hours of experience, largely in that model plane.

The choir had been due to give a concert to Russian troops operating in Syria. All 92 people on board were killed.

Shocking drone video of the crash site shows how little is left of the plane on the snowy field, where more than 450 body parts have now been collected.
