Eurovision 2018 Which This Morning host will be joining the You Decide judging panel

The Great British public has spoken - SuRie is the people's choice to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.

She certainly knows her stuff musically. She's no stranger to Eurovision, having appeared as a backing singer for Loïc Nottet in 2015 and Blanche at Eurovision 2017.

The Royal Academy of Music graduate has held residencies in Jazz lounges throughout London and performed backing vocals for artists like Chris Martin and Will Young.

Speaking before her win, SuRie said: "My eyes were opened to the beauty of Eurovision a couple of years ago and I was working with the Belgians so false flagging for a different country but I had an awesome time".

SuRie was one of six acts to take part in the BBC's Eurovision: You Decide 2018 programme, where viewers voted for their favourite song to take on Europe.

Actress and singer SuRie, real name Susanna Cork, is a born performer - she started writing her own songs when she was just 12 years old.

Eurovision: You Decide saw six hopefuls go head-to-head for the chance to represent the United Kingdom in May at the Eurovision final in Lisbon.

How was SuRie selected to represent the UK? The victor will be selected via the combination of a public televote, consisting of televoting and online voting, and the votes of a professional jury panel.

Of her previous Eurovision experiences, she said: "My eyes were opened to the beauty of Eurovision a couple of years ago and I was working with the Belgians so false flagging for a different country but I had an unbelievable time".
