Nicole Eggert Reportedly Files Police Report Accusing Scott Baio of Sexual Assault

Scott Baio- Nicole Eggert

Actress Nicole Eggert has officially filed a police report against former co-star Scott Baio.

The Baywatch actress's attorney Lisa Bloom said: "Today Nicole Eggert and I met with two police detectives from the sexual assault unit at my law firm".

Eggert alleges that Baio and she had sexual encounters when she was 14-16 years old during the time they co-starred on Charles in Charge in the late 1980s.

"Nicole answered all of their questions for over an hour and told her story of sexual abuse by Scott Baio when she was a minor", Bloom said in an emailed statement Wednesday morning. Baio said that's not true, that he and Eggert had sex once when she was 18.

In the series Baio played a college student who worked as a male nanny, Eggert appeared in the second half of the show's run, playing one of the children in Charles' care. Baio has also previously denied Eggert's claim they had intercourse when she was 17, explaining that by her own admission, they had intercourse after the show was over - the show ended in 1990, when Eggert was 18.

Our Eggert sources say detectives told her they would fully investigate and attempt to interview Baio. She continues, "I'm sobbing and I looked at it, and I said to myself, 'It's not a legit bridge, you're not going to die, you're going to break a lot of bones and you're not even going to kill yourself".

In an interview with Megyn Kelly last month, 46-year-old Eggert claimed that Baio expressed interest in her immediately when she began filming Charles in Charge in September 1986.

"If anyone else has information about this matter please contact us". Earlier, Baio had urged her to present her claims to the proper authorities.

He added, "The most important thing is that people are standing by her".

"Nicole didn't know what the statute of limitations was, but apparently the police are doing active investigations into a lot of these high-profile, older cases", the CEO of DWE Talent Management told THR. It's good that she finally has, even if it's part of a publicity campaign.

The actress first came forward with the accusations against her "Charles in Charge" co-star on January 28. "If we want to change the culture, we have to bring out the truth, take back control from the abusers and make them listen to the pain of their victims".

"I don't know if you've ever been on a sitcom set, but on any given day - on every day - and especially Charles in Charge, which was like a picnic every day. there's teachers, parents, family, crew, producers, my dad", Baio told GMA's Amy Robach.

Baio believes Eggert meeting with cops is his ticket to vindication due to her changing the facts around her story multiple times.

"How any of this could have happened is absolutely impossible", he added.

"I remember her calling me and asking me to come over and coming in my house one time, and seducing me", he said in a Facebook live video.

Neither Baio nor his reps have returned calls for comment.
