Sources tell Page Six that Carey is returning to redeem herself on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest", and this time the diva isn't taking any chances after failing to sound check last year.

During her performance previous year, Carey was visibly upset and at times stopped singing, despite a pre-recorded track playing in the background.
