'Watch out for the Grinch, OK?': Boy's adorable 911 call

Mississippi 5-year-old calls 911 to save Christmas from the Grinch

A 5-year-old MS boy was anxious the Grinch was going to steal Christmas after he watched one too many videos. A police officer responded to the call and showed up to the Pittman family home to assure Tylon that the Grinch would not ruin his Christmas.

According to The Clarion Ledger, TyLon was invited to come to the police station on Monday to help lock up the Grinch after he was caught.

Thanks to the vigilance of 5-year-old TyLon Pittman from Byram, Mississippi, the Grinch will not be stealing anyone's Christmas this year.

But instead of blowing off the call as a prank, police showed up to TyLon's house to let him know that his Christmas won't be stolen. "Every Christmas morning, my dad wears these Grinch trousers", Develle told the Clarion Ledger.

"It took him a while to decide that he wanted to let him out", TeResa Brown Pittman, TyLon's mother, told ABC News.

TyLon's brother TeDara, an Air Force Airman home for the holidays, captured what happened next on a video, which he later posted on Facebook.

She said, "I kind of find it really amusing". But before they finished the job, another Grinch stole them, the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office said.

Hanging his head, still wearing his Santa outfit, the Grinch put up no fight as he was shut in the holding cell inside the police department.

Nobody's going to steal Christmas from this boy! The 5-year-old honorary police officer took the Grinch into custody, booking the green-furred villain on charges that included the attempted theft of Christmas. "If he gets your number, he's going to call you and blow you up; but to dial 911, oh my God, no". "You have saved the day".
