
David Cassidy has been hospitalized for liver and kidney failure and is now in critical condition, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.
His family are now said to be at the hospital to be by his side as his condition worsens.
People reports Cassidy, 67, was in a medically induced coma but is now conscious and accompanied by family members in a Florida hospital. Cassidy's character sang lead.
He went on to become a successful singer garnering a loyal fan base and performing many of his hit songs from "The Partridge Family", such as "I Think I Love You". His real stepmother, Shirley Jones, played his mother on the show. Cassidy's own parents, Evelyn Ward and Jack Cassidy, were both actors.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to David Cassidy's reps for comment.
Cassidy, in an interview with CNN in 2014, said his trouble with alcohol was "very humbling and it's also humiliating".
He continued his acting and music career for decades until his retirement earlier this year when he announced he had dementia.
