India will play their first game against US, after which they will take on Colombia on October 9 and then two time champions Ghana on October 12.

India have been drawn in Group A of the World Cup with USA, Colombia and Ghana, and incidentally, Colombia, the first team to arrive in the nation for the tournament, are practicing at the same training ground as India - the Conscient Football ground in Gurugram, Haryana.

The tournament starts on October 6 with India playing United States of America on the first match day. The highest overall tournament attendance was in China in 1985 in the inaugural tournament, with 1,231,000 fans flocking to the stadiums, averaging 38,469 fans per game.

Matos further stated that the India U-17s, on their day, could put the best of teams under pressure and fight for a win. "Go get it boys, make us proud".

At an official handover ceremony at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi today, Y K Koo, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India handed over the fleet of Hyundai cars to Martin Nussbaumer, Marketing Operations Group Leader, FIFA and Javier Ceppi, Tournament Director, Local Organising Committee.

The US Soccer Federation had named 17 players who were part of the team that played in the qualifying tournament - 2017 CONCACAF U-17 Championship in April - in which it had finished second. All three India games will be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
