Champions League: Olivier Ntcham sets his sights on facing Paris Saint-Germain

This does mean City can't draw the likes of PSG, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, but will hope to avoid some of the Pot 1 big dogs.

The 2018 Champions League Final will be played in Kyiv's NSK Olimpiyskyi in Ukraine.

Premier League champions Chelsea are in pot one alongside Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica, Shakhtar Donetsk, Monaco and Spartak Moscow.

The group stages get underway on Tuesday 12 September and conclude on Wednesday 6 December with the fixtures split into six matchdays to be played on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

There are also some strong teams in Pot 3 like Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Napoli and Roma, which sets up some potential group of death scenarios.

Pot 4: CSKA Moscow/, Maribor, Celtic, APOEL/, Feyenord, FK /, Leipzig, and Steaua Bucharest/.

There are 32 teams in the draw, the 22 teams that automatically qualified from their domestic league position (Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City are England's) and 10 that qualify via the play-offs (Celtic qualified last night, Liverpool are expected to qualify this evening).

Celtic, meanwhile, could potentially be getting the above giants and one of Liverpool/Tottenham or Roma/Napoli, in a draw that would continue their rotten luck in group stage pairings. Each group will contain one team from each of the four pots.

Manchester City are in Pot 2, below the "Seeded" pot which is comprised of champions from UEFA's eight highest ranking leagues. Most of the top clubs in the world that you'd expect to see are back - Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and the like - but there are some new faces too.
