Suicide bombers kill 27 wound 83 in northeast Nigeria

"Our village is right at the entrance into Konduga town", Mr. Kalli said. They detonated their explosives nearly simultaneously, Lawan Kalli said.

Musa Bura, a youth volunteer in nearby Konduga town, said most members of the local defense force were on guard at the market and not the nearby camp.

Borno State, located in Nigeria's northeast region, is a flash-point of attacks perpetrated by Boko Haram since 2009, when the sect launched its insurgency targeting churches, security facilities, schools and villages.
