Insider confirms Chelsea, Liverpool are interested in signing 23-year-old attacker

Chelsea have upped their interest in signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Antonio Conte wants more players at Chelsea with Champions League and Premier League challenges to come this season.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is thought to be interested in signing the England worldwide to provide cover at wing-back and in midfield.

However, Conte wants the club to further reinforce the team and according to an exclusive report covered by Daily Mail, Chelsea have made a move worth 25 million pounds to hire the services of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for the Italian boss.

"What about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain?" "He's had some small injuries but past year he was much more stable".

The Daily Star note in their report that Oxlade-Chamberlain would welcome a move to Stamford Bridge, which comes as no surprise - who wouldn't?

But the Frenchman says that the 23-year-old will play for Arsenal next season as he is part of his plans.

Antonio Conte is reported to have become infuriated with the Chelsea board's lack of progress on transfers, this summer.

The Gunners are also now facing the same dilemma with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, both of whom have also refused to commit their futures to the North London club amid interest from other clubs.

Currently Oxlade-Chamberlain seems to have little chance of playing in his favoured central midfield position at Arsenal, while his displays at wing-back have yet to truly convince. The 23-year-old is a favourite among fans and fellow team-mates and a departure from the Emirates would be devastating for the club.
