For Honor will be free to play this weekend

Play For Honor for free this weekend

Ubisoft has today announced that its close-combat fighter, For Honor, will be available to play for free on PS4 this weekend. If you're interested, you can pre-load the free trial on August 8th to ready up.

For Honor's newest update is slated to arrive next week, but before then, Ubisoft is giving players a chance to try the action game out at no cost. The game will also be discounted during the trial, which we hope will lead to some extra sales for the great fighting game. While the PC players will be able to play the game for free on 10 alongside console players, the PC free weekend will end early on 13 August at 9pm.

Ubisoft shared the news via a post on the PlayStation Blog, detailing that the For Honor free weekend will take place august 10 - 13. Additionally, players who purchase For Honor during the free weekend will see all their progress carry over.

If during your free time with For Honor this weekend you discover you really enjoy the tactical combat action, then you'll have the chance to pick it up for 50% off between August 10 and August 20. For Honor's standard and Gold editions will be on sale during the trial. With the free trial running from August 10-13, it gives players just enough time to build up some progression and decided if they want to continue that momentum with the paid version. This will introduce some more new maps, adding ranked play and debut two new heroes, alongside some gameplay tweaks.
