Trump's New 'Real News' Series Lands CNN Figure

Kayleigh McEnany who departed days ago as a commentator at CNN returned in front of the camera Sunday to present Trump's

McEnany was one of President Trump's most effective messaging defenders on CNN, the heart of what Dr. Sebastian Gorka-a former Breitbart News national security editor and Deputy Assistant to the President-calls the "fake news industrial complex".

McEnany announced last week that she was leaving the cable news network for "a new role".

The Twitterverse in not letting Kayleigh McEnany forget about some of her objectionable statements from the years before she rose to prominence in the political media. She left the network this weekend, a source with knowledge of the situation told NBC News, asking to leave in order to pursue another opportunity.

In Sunday's video, McEnany announced that Trump has created more than 1 million jobs since becoming president, that unemployment is "at a 16-year-low" and "consumer confidence is at a 16-year high". "Her wealth of experience will be invaluable to the RNC as we continue to support President Trump and build on our majorities in Congress as we head into 2018".

"President Trump has clearly steered the economy back in the right direction". Many economists disagree, believing Trump is benefiting from policies of the Obama administration, is "overstating his responsibility for recent better growth and jobs numbers", and "might also be a drag on growth". McEnany's video was the second in the "real news" series posted to Facebook, with the first presented by Trump's daughter-in-law Lara Trump, posted on July 30. "Americans deserve a raise, and President Trump is finally putting the American worker first", she added.
