Warriors' Green stays in Game 4 after technical foul fiasco

In the middle of the third quarter, Green, known for his. hands-on defense, was called for his second technical foul of the game.

Afterward, the officials told a pool reporter that they take "full responsibility" for the apparent ejection of Green, which came with chants of "Draymond sucks" and "Hit the road".

Green will be in more familiar territory on Monday night as the Cavs head to Oracle Arena in Oakland in a do-or-die Game 5.

Green has tried to play to the crowd, egging on the fans when they start to jeer him. even though afterward he claimed, "I don't pay attention to anybody in Cleveland, honestly". In the moment, I thought I had verbalized to the table that the technical foul was on Coach Kerr.

However, after a long period of on-court confusion, it was determined that Green was not assessed a tech in the first quarter to begin with.

That's because earlier in the game, Green had already seemingly been called for another technical. "I knew I didn't have a technical foul".

It would've been understandable if such circumstances would've left Warriors star Draymond Green in a foul mood afterward. "That's when we were informed by the table". "At that time, we did not do a very good job of listening to the PA announcer and we did not hear him announce it".

Cavs coach Tyronn Lue was asked about the inconsistent officiating, but couldn't take the bait following a win. "Let me get my money's worth if I'm going to get some techs".

Video surfaced of a fan engaging in a verbal exchange with Green's mother, Mary Babers-Green, after the Warriors' Game 3 victory Wednesday.

There were seven technicals called in Game 4 between the two teams.

The Golden State Warriors' chance to make history slipped through their fingers Friday night.

Green had 16 points and 14 rebounds in a losing cause in game four, when play became more physcial than it had been in the series.

"Did y'all watch Draymond Green talk behind the ref's back to Tristan Thompson?". "They show me how important I am to them". We got to play a little nasty.
