Star shuttler Saina Nehwal on Friday Stormed into Semi-finals Of Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold 2017 after defeating Japan's Haruko Suzuki in Bangkok.

The first game saw no trouble for the third seed and expected it was another win to his name.

The Thai tried to stage a fightback in the second game but Praneeth was equal to the task, quickly reducing a three- point deficit.

The world number 11 Saina, who made the women's singles semi-final, was seeded second in the tournament, while her opponent entered the tournament as fourth seed. As the match started, the Indian looked in a comfortable position winning it 21-15 and it looked like Saina will clinch it in straight games.

As Praneeth took the game 21-17 and the match to his name.
