Kirsten Dunst slams Spider-Man reboot

Kirsten Dunst arriving at this year’s 89th Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood Los Angeles USA

Kirsten Dunst has said the newer Spider-Man movies are not as good as those she starred in and that film-makers are "milking" the franchise for money.

She griped to Marie Claire: 'We made the best ones, so who cares? Can you let them know that I'm wonderful or something?' And he replied like, 'Hey mate.

Spider-Man: Homecoming - co-starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Martin Starr and Donald Glover - swings into theaters July 7.

The network's recent animated Spider-Man series, Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man, came to an end earlier this year.

The question is, is Mary Jane right?

Maguire and Dunst's "Spider-Man" brought in a whopping $821.7 million worldwide and 2012's "The Amazing Spider-Man", starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, earned $757.9 million.

In this new clip, Peter Parker has yet to acquire his main Spider-Man suit as he is forced to fight in his budget homemade suit.

This isn't the first time that Kirsten Dunst has taken aim at Spider-Man: Homecoming over the last few weeks. I love her so much. "He had this massive gauntlet in his hand, a big metal fist type thing, and he punched me in the face so hard, like you wouldn't believe". Are the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man films the best?

That led to a rather unfortunate incident where, 'I got punched in the face. But while anticipating is growing (particularly among fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe), some people aren't as thrilled about the reboots.

Tom Holland is super swoon-worthy in this feature for the new issue of British GQ.
