LeBron James breaks Michael Jordan's playoff scoring record

James was the big storyline as the game opened, as the King again struggled with scoring.

Just two days after putting up an abysmal 11-point performance against the Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, LeBron James rebounded to score 34 points in Game 4 on Tuesday night.

Cavaliers: James has scored 30 or more points in 11 of Cleveland's 13 games this postseason.

May 25, 2017; Boston, MA, USA; Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James (23) hands out conference champion shirts to his teammates after game five of the Eastern conference finals of the NBA Playoffs against the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden.

The Cavaliers star came into the game needing 28 points for the record and hit a 3-pointer in the third quarter against the Celtics to break it.

"Just how tough and determined the guy is, to be able to go through the situation he was going through on a day-to-day basis, still being focused and maintaining his focus for the team, you know, family is everything", James continued. But LeBron very easily could have finished the game with even more points than that.

Kyrie Irving - who scored 42 points in Cleveland's game-four victory - added 24 points and Kevin Love contributed 15. They're 5-4 in the postseason so far.

Avery Bradley led the Celtics with 23 points, and Gerald Green scored 14. James also won MVP in two of the previous three years.

Tristan has grabbed more offensive boards than anyone in the 2017 Playoffs and has tallied double-digit rebounds in 10 of Cleveland's 12 postseason contests.
