Kumar Vishwas' aide Kapil Mishra removed from Kejriwal's cabinet

BJP AAP

Sacked Delhi minister Kapil Mishra on Sunday accused CM Arvind Kejriwal of accepting Rs 2 crore from Satyendar Jain, who holds the health portfolio, intensifying the infighting in Aam Aadmi Party.

"Day before yesterday (Friday) I saw Jain handing over Rs 2 crore in cash to Kejriwal at his residence".

Meanwhile, Mishra is expected to meet Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, an hour before heading out to Rajghat for his press conference at 11.30 a.m.

I urged him to seek an apology. The allegations gain significance given that the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party, which Kejriwal leads, came out of an anti-corruption movement and promised a clean and transparent government.

Pledging to remove corrupt people from the party, he said that he will go to all the higher authority and make the revelation about these things. "The Chief Minister chose to bring in Kailash Gahlot in his place", he told reporters.

"Gehlot has been brought in for outer Delhi's representation while Gautam was awarded the post for SC representation in the cabinet", the source added.

Mishra said he had met Kejriwal earlier on Saturday and handed over documents related to the alleged tanker scam. "The ground beneath their feet will shake", Mishra said. Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, "Water management was not up to the mark".

Resonating similar views, BJP leader Shazia Ilmi said that following Kapil Mishra's revelation it has been proved that those supporting Kejriwal in his corruption will be applauded, but those who will raise their voice against him will be shown the exit door.

Mishra became the fourth AAP minister to be sacked after Jitendra Singh Tomar, Asim Ahmed Khan and Sandeep Kumar, since the AAP stormed to power in 2015.

All AAP legislators including Somnath Bharti, Alka Lamba and Bhavna Gaur, who had backed Vishwas, were also accommodated in the Library Committee, not considered as prestigious with the panel having little work to do. Kapil Mishra made a lot of effort.

The Congress on Sunday demanded the Modi government to initiate criminal action against Arvind Kejriwal over bribery allegations and asked him to step down as Delhi's Chief Minister.

He added that two persons have been included in the Cabinet now- Kailash Gahlot and Rajendra Gautam for a post which was vacant.
