Officer Collin Rose, 29, died Wednesday from a gunshot wound he suffered during a traffic stop the previous night, authorities said.

The prosecutors office says Davis was not represented by an attorney at Fridays arraignment in Romulus District Court and that one hasnt yet been assigned to him.

Funeral and visitation arrangements have been released for Wayne State Officer Collin Rose.

Chief Anthony Holt, head of police at Wayne State, said Wednesday that a suspect in the shooting was in custody. Authorities said they have a "person of interest" in custody in the investigation into the shooting of the police officer.

The Wayne County prosecutor's office says he does not yet have a lawyer.

Holt praised Rose's work ethic, saying he often started his shifts early and stayed late. "Our hearts go out to the family and friends".

Charges could be announced in the fatal shooting earlier this week of a Wayne State University police officer.
